At the heart of Newport Cannabis Co. is Octavius Prince, our CEO and owner. He brings a lifetime of curiosity and entrepreneurial drive into everything he does.
Octavius first made his mark in the world of music. As a producer and DJ, he traveled and performed around the globe, eventually founding Hazmat Studios, a private recording studio in El Salvador where acclaimed artists from every genre came to create. His passion for storytelling later carried him into film, where he worked as both an executive producer and actor in projects like The Preppie Connection and Perception.
But Octavius’s vision extends far beyond music and film. As the founder of O Street Capital, he’s invested in technology, gaming, film, music, and controlled botanicals, always seeking out innovative ideas that move industries forward. That same entrepreneurial spirit led him to create Hangar 420, Rhode Island’s trusted cultivator since 2019, and now, Newport Cannabis Co.
